Position Overview:

  • The Program Manager - Business Capability Lead is responsible for driving the successful execution of complex, high-impact programs and associated projects that advance the digital capability (DC) objectives for a Risk Management Digital Capability.
  • This leadership role ensures the delivery of incremental value, fosters innovation, and maximizes return on investment through strategic oversight for key deliverable, project management, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
 
Pay Rate: $121.00-$128.00/Hour.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Team Management:
    • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, guiding them in the execution of assigned programs and child projects to achieve business objectives and deliver value efficiently.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance within the program and project teams.
  • Program Oversight & Execution:
    • Oversee, drive and follow up on the planning, execution, and delivery of large, complex programs and their associated projects for Enterprise wide Risk Management Digital Capability.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to evolve program strategies, Client new requirements, and ensure alignment with business goals.
    • Identify interdependencies, assess risks, and communicate program status to management and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Performance & Financial Management:
    • Accountable to ensure program and project deliverables, schedules, and financials adhere to established standards and departmental best practices.
    • Monitor and control program schedules and budgets, providing actionable insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
    • Periodically evaluate program performance, developing and implementing action plans to achieve or exceed performance targets.
  • Issue Resolution & Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Proactively identify and remove obstacles to maintain program momentum and progress.
    • Escalate any deviations from project plan to Management and Leadership.
    • Engage and energize teams, ensuring resources are effectively allocated across the enterprise for successful program completion.
    • Manage relationships with the vendors, ensuring timely delivery of services and adherence to budgetary constraints.
    • Prepare comprehensive program status reports and documentation to keep sponsors and steering committees informed of progress, risks, and potential roadblocks.
    • Actively support project managers in resolving issues on problem projects, facilitating the identification and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Governance & Best Practices:
    • Co-lead the establishment of program management and governance structures in partnership with IT Business Partners (IT BPs) and Digital Capability Managers (DCMs), Quality and Validation partners.
    • Advise on and consistently apply project management best practices, including Agile, SDLC, and PMF methodologies, driving continuous improvement and maturity across IT.
  • Financial & Vendor Support:
    • Support IT BPs and DCMs in managing program/project financials, vendor relationships, and procurement processes.
    • Collaborate on business case development for DC investments, leveraging project management expertise to enhance estimates and outcomes.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience leading large-scale, complex programs and cross-functional teams in a digital or IT environment with external vendor and enterprise wide Stakeholder for 7-10 years
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, SDLC, PMF) and governance practices.
  • Has worked in pharmaceutical environment, Biopharma environment
  • Has proven Digital Capabilities for 1-3 years
  • Experience with off shelf software products implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple vendors and large budgets.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in financial management, business case development, and continuous process improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Risk Management digital capability is a plus
  • Has proven experience with large user communities
  • Experience with Veeva platform highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GXP Regulations needed
