SUMMARY:
The Production Team Supervisor coordinates and supervises the daily activities and sets priorities for the production team. Provides technical expertise for complex issues and ensures effective and efficient production flow. Drives a culture of continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies, reducing waste, and implementing process enhancements that support safety, quality, and productivity. NOTE: This position is for our 2nd shift schedule with regular hours from 2:30pm to 12:00am (9/80 workweek).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Achievesallproductionobjectivesthroughproperplanningtomeetproductionschedulesanddelivering high quality products that meet customer specifications.
- Supervises daily activities and sets priorities for the production team.
- Maintains necessary records/documents of production work performed.
- Ensuresproperuseoftools,equipment,andmaterialsusedwithintheproductiondepartment,while maintaining a safe and clean working environment that will ensure safety of all employees.
- Managesstaffselection,performance,developmentandtrainingprocessestoensureteamcompetencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations
- In conjunction with site Human Resources, handles production team employee relations and uses appropriate discretion and sound judgement when dealing with difficultand sensitivesituations.
- Sets and adjustsratesofpayandhoursofwork.
- Consistently exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Leads and participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives, including identifying root causes of process bottlenecks, facilitating corrective actions, and implementing sustainable improvements aligned with Lean/Kaizen principles.
- Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and leverages data to drive process optimization, reduce variability, and enhance throughput.
- Encourages team engagement in improvement suggestions and fosters an environment where employees are empowered to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions.
- Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, and location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $35 - $45/hour (plus applicable shift differential).

Job Specifications:
Education:HighSchooldiploma or equivalent required.Post-Secondary/TradeSchoolEducationpreferredorequivalentcombinationof relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Experience:3-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment

- Demonstratedcapabilities supporting production and acting as lead for a teamof staff members

- Strong leadership traits and effective interpersonal skills
