Job Details
We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead operations within a high-volume plastics extrusion environment. This role is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across blown film and/or cast film manufacturing lines.
This is an excellent opportunity for a leader with plastics, blown film, or extrusion experience who thrives in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead production teams across blown film / extrusion lines
- Ensure production targets, KPIs, and schedules are met
- Drive quality assurance and compliance with food safety and regulatory standards
- Monitor product quality, gauge control, and process parameters
- Troubleshoot production issues and minimize downtime
- Partner with maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and uptime
- Train, coach, and develop operators and leads
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste
Qualifications
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing
- Strong background in one or more of the following:
o Blown film extrusion
o Plastics manufacturing
o Flexible packaging
- Experience with quality systems, QA/QC, or food-grade manufacturing
- Knowledge of extrusion processes and resins (LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, etc.)
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-output environment
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
