Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Permanent Production Manager to lead our Los Angeles location. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, labor management, and cost control, ensuring compliance with FDA and OSHA regulations. With a focus on driving efficiency, you will be expected to manage and optimize production processes, manage labor resources and maintain a keen eye on cost control. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and has a proven track record in leading teams to achieve production goals.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage all aspects of plant operations, ensuring processes and procedures are in line with FDA and OSHA regulations.
2. Develop and implement strategies to increase productivity and meet company goals.
3. Efficiently manage labor resources, ensuring optimal utilization and high productivity levels.
4. Implement effective cost control measures to minimize operational expenses without compromising on quality or safety.
5. Collaborate with other department managers to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
6. Ensure all equipment is maintained and functioning correctly, coordinating maintenance and repairs as necessary.
7. Monitor production output and quality, addressing any issues in a timely and effective manner.
8. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources.
9. Prepare, analyze, and present production reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
10. Handle any labor disputes or issues, ensuring they are resolved in a fair and timely manner.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Production Manager role within the food industry
3. Strong knowledge of FDA and OSHA regulations and standards
4. Proven experience in labor management and cost control
5. Bilingual Spanish/English
9. Proficiency in relevant ERP computer software and MS Office
