Are you a night owl with a passion for manufacturing? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. This is a full-time salaried position running from 5pm-3am Monday through Thursday; this role offers a unique work-life balance that caters to those who prefer the quiet focus of the night shift. Occasional OT on Fri / Sat.
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our manufacturing facility during the evening hours (5pm - 3am), ensuring that all production goals are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. You will be leading a dedicated team of approx. 20 skilled workers, using state-of-the-art machinery and equipment to produce high-quality products.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the manufacturing facility during the evening shift (5pm - 3am Mon-Thurs).
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of approx. 20 skilled workers, ensuring that all tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and accurately.
- Coordinate with the day shift supervisors to ensure smooth transitions between shifts.
- Operate and maintain a variety of machinery and equipment, including CNC machines, lathes, mills, and welding equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks, using tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure precision and accuracy.
- Identify and resolve any issues or obstacles that may impact production, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proven experience with CNC, Training, Forklift, Maintenance, Lathe, MIG, 5 Axis, Calipers, Mill, Micrometers, Tool And Die, CMM, Machining, Tooling, Aluminum, Machine Maintenance Tech, Welding, GD&T, Inspection.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work the evening shift (5pm-3am, Monday-Thursday).
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Welding certification is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications are a plus.
