Salary: $70,000.00 USD Annually - $90,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our manufacturing client is currently seeking 2 Production Supervisors on 3rd Shift for their facility in the Lexington VA area. They work Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday work during the busiest times and they pay overtime for that Saturday work. The Production Supervisor will oversee daily operations and they are looking for a hands-on leader with a strong technical foundation and a passion for manufacturing excellence, continuous improvement, and team development. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production, working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and drive operational success.

This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Supervisor, train, and support a team of production employees fostering a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
- Monitor and manage daily production schedules to meet output targets, deadlines, and customer requirements.
- Ensure proper staffing levels and coordinate workloads for optimal efficiency.
- Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement:
- Implement and sustain lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Identify and troubleshoot production bottlenecks, working closely with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve issues.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPI’s), driving actions to improve throughput, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) or related field preferred, or equivalent experience in manufacturing and strong leadership is required.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the manufacturer of HVAC, refrigeration, or related large (47,000lb) products.
- Preferred familiarity with fabrication and assembly of large electrical parts, copper or steel bending, brazing, welding, pressure testing, assembling products with compressors, fans, motors, electrical panels, ect
- Strong team management, coaching, and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to leadership.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
