Production Pouch Assistant

Express Employment Professionals is looking for Pouch line Assistants

This position will be working in a food grade production facility by assisting the Pouching Line Operator Assistant.  Job functions will include stacking and boxing finished product (product weighing less than 25 lbs).  Must be able to comfortably stand for 8-12 hours shifts up to five days per week. 

Job Purpose

Responsible for assisting in the production/packing and palletizing pouches including inserting valves when necessary. Helps with maintaining equipment and the production environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assisting with operation of Pouch Machine including but not limited to:
• Assist with changeovers
• Assist with PM’s on equipment
• Insert Valves on valving equipment
• Collect and stage production supplies as directed by Pouch operator
• Maintain accurate records
• Maintain production reports
• Maintain and keep equipment orderly
• Change rolls and cut out splices
• Quality Control checks and data entry
• Trash and trim removal
• Observe safety rules
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Management and Supervision in a safe and timely manner
• Ensure that all Food Safety and Quality standards are met at all times
• Cover other department personnel in times of absence

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Basic math and computer skills
• Basic hand tool skills
• Accuracy in tasks
• Able to receive and give directions to teammates
• Good team skills
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Pouching Assistants must be able to comfortably stand for 8-12 hours shifts up to five days per week.
• There is overtime and weekend work so employee must be available and willing when needed.
• Steel Toed shoes required.

Schedule: Day, Swing and Graveyard available

There may be overtime and weekend work as needs so employees must be available and willing work when requested.

Pay: $17.25/hr
