Our Client, an Automotive company, is looking for a Production Planner for their Rochester, NY location.

Responsibilities:
- Generate Daily Usage Report utilizing Excel and GSC software.
- Perform Daily Inventory Adjustments in SAP.
- Generate Purchase Requisitions (PR’s) for Special Crib Orders including service packaging.
- Manage Daily feedback reporting/resolve out of stock and low inventory issues.
- Manage daily shared email – resolve purchase req and purchase order issues with purchasing group and suppliers.
- Process spot buy purchase requisitions and work with purchasing to generate Purchase Orders (PO’s).
- Manage inventory levels by adjusting re-order and max inventory levels based on usage trends and production plans.
- Edit and move crib pictures.
- Manage HP Printer supplies that utilize the HP Portal.
- Manage Repairs for crib coded items. Includes tracking of items between the company and supplier as well as generation of PR’s/PO’s, working with engineering teams to resolve issues and implementing best practice.
- Manage Crib Compare report to resolve inventory discrepancies between GSC and SAP software.
- Manage RIP (Receipt in Process) issues that include receiving issues such as quantity discrepancies, part number issues, packing slips and missing PO numbers.
- Manage PR’s on HOLD, which includes obsolete items being resolved by engineering team, new crib code setups to be stored into inventory and items on hold for design changes.
- Manage Open Orders – defined as items that have PO’s issued but have never been received. Working with Suppliers and Purchasing to correct and resolve.
- Process Indirect Material New Code Setup Requests. This includes managing all the creation of new material codes in SAP/GSC, as well as all changes and deletions of these codes.
- Manage bulk gas PO generation.
- Manage blanket PO for Fastener program.
- Manage annual Control Self Assessments. These include annual Excess and Obsolete to manage inventory levels and 100% count to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Perform Team Leader training on Indirect Material GSC software as required.
- Indirect martial – light curtains, motors, spare parts, repair belts, belts for process equipment, programmable logic controls for machines, anything that does not ship out as a final product is indirect material, ordering and working with the company’s purchasing to expedite any problems with a PO, there is a lot of manual work required to keep the site running, but there are some things that are also automated
- Team structure: from a day-to-day perspective there will be 2-3 people they would spend 80% of their time working with coworkers doing the same job, mostly talking to people on the phone or handling drop ins for different requests (engineering team, maintenance team), working with suppliers and the company’s purchasing often
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma required (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
- Years of experience: 5 years experience
- Inventory management skills/experience preferred:
- Previous person in this role had business admin degree/experience – they worked out well but this is not required for the position
- Accounting experience/mindset is very helpful for this role
- SAP
- Microsoft Office – particularly Excel
- Organized
- Analytical
- Communication Skills
- Ability to Multitask and set priorities
- SAP experience – absolute must have at least 2 years
- Microsoft Office – Outlook and Excel (basic understanding – not developing complex spreadsheets or anything like that)
- Worked with large components in a warehouse to manage inventory
