Position Summary


This position is responsible for producing high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. Working under close supervision, the Production Technician performs a combination of assembly, repair, and testing operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device components. Work is completed according to standardized procedures and is closely reviewed for accuracy and quality.




Key Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly, repair, and testing of medical devices following established procedures
  • Execute routine tasks in accordance with standardized work instructions
  • Ensure all job documentation for cell operations is accurate and up to date
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records to ensure traceability of all components
  • Communicate effectively with team members and all levels of manufacturing management
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with internal and external customers (including facility tours)
  • Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate protective equipment during operations
  • Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality
  • Support Lean Manufacturing practices and contribute to process improvements
  • Assist in setting and monitoring individual and team performance goals with supervisors
  • Support divisional initiatives, including compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and regulatory requirements



Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures and verbal instructions
  • Basic proficiency with computer systems and electronic data collection tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Ability to handle and manipulate small components with precision
  • Capable of making sound decisions with minimal supervision
  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles preferred
