Production Operations Manager (On-Site)

We are hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Manager of Production Operations to lead printing operations within a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing Operations Supervisors across multiple shifts, ensuring productivity, quality, and both client and associate satisfaction.

This position plays a key role in translating operational strategy into daily execution, driving performance, and fostering a culture focused on excellence and teamwork.

This is a direct hire, on-site position at one of our client’s production facilities.

• Develop and implement strategies to improve Productivity, Efficiency, and Quality (PEQ)
• Manage departmental expenses including labor, commodities, and discretionary spending
• Create and maintain capacity plans to ensure client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are consistently met or exceeded
• Establish, communicate, and monitor departmental and individual KPIs
• Leverage technical knowledge of print equipment and production technologies to maximize uptime and machine utilization
• Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors and team members through consistent performance feedback
• Reinforce a culture centered around operational excellence, accountability, and team engagement

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
• 3–5 years of management experience in a high-paced production, manufacturing, print, or mail environment
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in print/mail or production operations strongly preferred
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate teams in a fast-changing environment
• Demonstrated success implementing KPIs, improving workflows, and developing high-performing teams
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, and reporting
• Flexibility for non-standard hours during peak production periods, weekends, or critical events

Schedule

• Mid Shift: Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Flexibility required during training and peak production times.
