Volt is immediately hiring for an experienced Production Material Prepper in Vista, Ca.
As an Experienced Production Material Prepper you will:
• Inspect incoming raw materials, components, or supplies to ensure they meet quality and quantity specifications. Identify any defects or discrepancies and report them to the appropriate department.
• Safely handle, transport, and distribute materials to various production areas, following established safety procedures and guidelines.
• Regularly clean and maintain equipment and tools used for material preparation to ensure they function correctly and are safe to use.
• Operate cutting, shaping tools and machinery to prepare materials for production, such as cutting, drilling, or trimming materials according to specific measurements and specifications.
• Communicate with teammates and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and a productive environment and troubleshoot any problems.
• Use proper blade speeds and feeds for the given material.
• Sand, deburr and prepare according to Flotron’s standards.
• Maintain a high state of cleanliness of all work areas.
• Responsible for demonstrating concern for the safety of self and others.
• Lift up to 49 lbs. and use lifting equipment over 49 lbs.
• Safely operate a forklift.
This is a full time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
• High School Diploma/GED required for the position.
• 1+ years working in general labor.
• 1+ years working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation.
• Utilize Microsoft programs for details on daily tasks. Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
• Ability to carry out tasks efficiently and independently, even without constant on-site supervision.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Apply practical and logical reasoning to complete tasks successfully.
• Capacity to understand, retain, and execute verbal and written directions and information.
• Open-minded team player who is open to critique and motivated to grow within the job role.
• Ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted.
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-driven and eager to close out tasks.
• Able to lift up to 49 lbs.
• Familiarity with lifting equipment for lifting over 49 lbs.
Available to work 1st shift, either 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Able to clear a background check
Pay Rate: $20.00-22.00/hr
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
