In this role you will join the Production team and report to Production Manager.
You will accomplish day to day tactical objectives in support of the company and the department goals. Demonstrates adherence to company policies and procedures in support of safety, quality, delivery, cost and morale (SQDCM) initiatives. Embraces and promotes company core values to establish and maintain a culture committed to ethical practices, legal compliance and a union-free environment. Takes initiative to participate in training and developing opportunities to prepare for current and future challenges.
Responsibilities:Role(s) – Supports the Production Team through managing subordinates and production operation, establishing goals, and developing and implementing improvements within the department.
- Manages production operations on multiple shifts and across all lines to assure quality modules are being produced in a safe and collaborative work environment.
- Utilize solid background in manufacturing to maintain productivity of manufacturing environment regulations concerning material standards, safety, and control.
- Establish short-term activities directed toward production continuity and balance, grievance resolution and customer expectations.
- Coordinates and integrates with other plant function areas to ensure support in attaining output productivity and quality.
- Hires, organizes, trains, and motivates the production labor force to ensure consistent attainment of production schedules at optimum productivity and cost levels.
- Recommends improvements in production flow or methods.
- Administer of fair, honest, and equal disciplinary action (counseling, coaching, incident documentation)
- Other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Experience: 5-10 years
Managerial Experience: 3-5 years
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS)
Degree Field: Engineering or related field
Equivalent Experience/Education:10+ years of experience in a manufacturing/automotive field and in a managerial role
Communication Skills: Intermediate
