Job Summary

La Vida Gardens is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Product Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in educating customers about cannabis products and ensuring they have a positive, informed shopping experience. You will also collaborate with the team to maintain compliance with New Jersey CRC regulations and uphold the company’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

This position may also support delivery operations as needed. Team members in this role must be flexible and able to assist across both retail and delivery functions based on business needs.

Key Product Specialist Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to customers on cannabis products, including strains, consumption methods, and effects
• Share firsthand knowledge and experiences to address customer concerns and enhance product understanding
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring product availability
• Collaborate with the team to create a welcoming and professional environment
• Stay informed on industry trends, new products, and regulatory updates
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve concerns in a professional manner
• Support the management team with operational tasks as needed

Cross-Role Responsibilities: Delivery Driver Support

When scheduled or assigned to delivery operations, the Product Specialist may also perform the following duties:

• Safely and promptly deliver cannabis orders to patients in accordance with all Missouri state regulations and company policies
• Verify patient identification and required documentation prior to completing deliveries
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and handle transactions securely
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness
• Communicate clearly with dispatch and support staff regarding routes, issues, or delays
• Uphold a professional, respectful, and compassionate demeanor during all customer interactions

Qualifications

• Must be at least 25 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in the industry or related fields is a plus
• Strong knowledge of cannabis products and their applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Previous experience in retail, customer service, cannabis, or delivery preferred

Requirements

• Must be at least 25 years of age
• Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver excellent customer service
• Reliable driving record with the ability to safely operate company vehicles
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Previous retail, customer service, or delivery experience preferred

Work Environment & Schedule

This role requires flexibility to work retail shifts, delivery routes, weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled. Employees must maintain punctuality and consistent attendance to meet the operational needs of both retail and delivery functions.
