Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Equivalent
• 3 years of proven experience in complete vehicle layout/package, including Body and Trim
• Strong familiarity with legislative requirements affecting the Design Feasibility process
• Demonstrated experience in leading and presenting to decision-making forums
• Strong understanding of the production processes
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Master's Degree
• Basic understanding and experience as a Design Release Engineer
• Basic understanding and experience in Structural Engineering

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead Studio property set up, and integrity including content, data pedigree, ride height, manikin drop, and overall suitability
• Lead completion of studies within Design Feasibility FC Process from FC0 to K6
• Guide initial theme set-up, and development through or in advance of functional, supplier, or attribute inputs
• Develop and maintain Surface Scaffold files to enable Physical and Digital model development
• Provide concept alternatives and provocations to support the reconciliation of thematic intent with functional and program assumptions
