Who You are and What you Will do:
As a member of UFS R&D Cooking Aids team you will be working to develop relevant products under Knorr brand.
Your deep knowledge of the technologies and available capabilities in-house and at the external manufacturing network, combined with your curiosity about solving consumer problems, will result in bringing the right solutions to the markets. In developing solutions, you drive functional excellence whilst effectively combining the relevant culinary, nutritional, technical, and market knowledge to design products for consumers / customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
·Coordinate the R&D activities to deliver the brand’s program.
·Demonstrate strong formulation expertise in Cooking Aids to lead new product design and renovations with speed (hands-on mentality).
·Design and execute test protocols for the various technical aspects of projects as required (e.G. Prototype development and scale-up, shelf-life testing, analytical testing, performance testing, etc.).
·Lead the process of specification creation in SAP from initial request through approved status.
·Analyze and interpret data with guidance on final conclusions incl the ability to prepare comprehensive reports and presentations, including recommendations and next steps.
·Demonstrate flexibility to manage multiple priorities by adapting to daily challenges and priority changes within business environment.
·Support cost savings initiatives and supply chain efficiency projects to support quality, cost savings, and complexity reduction initiatives.
Required Skills/Technologies:
·Demonstrate strong formulation expertise in Cooking Aids to lead new product design and renovations with speed.
Passion for product development and extremely customer/consumer focus.
·Pro-active self-direction with a high level of initiative and persistence and a very much hands-on approach to results delivery.
·E ffective in working with virtual teams.
·Ability to identify and address emerging issues as well as set and manage priorities and continuously improve processes and practices.
·Comfort with multi-tasking and operating in a fast paced, multi-faceted, and multi-cultural environment.
·Knowledge on some scientific methodologies to drive design of experiments for various products.
Preferred Qualifications / Education Requirements:
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science or equivalent degree.
Level of Experience:
5-7 years of experience in the food industry, preferably in product development and / or process development. Experience with SAP, specification creation and approval process, demonstrated knowledge/experience in dry products and understanding of Supply Chain. Food Service business preferred
