Location: North Augusta, SC
Expected Pay Range: $40-$45 per hour prior to conversion, based on certifications andexperience
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00a-5:00p onsite
Job Duties/Details:
- Product Design and Development:
- Lead the design and development of new products from concept to production.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed engineering drawings
- Prototype and test new designs, ensuring they meet all functional and safety requirements.
- Process Improvement:
- Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Develop and document new processes to enhance product quality and production speed.
- Manufacturing and Production:
- Oversee the production of prototypes and final products, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure seamless transition from design to manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the production process.
- Technical Expertise:
- Apply knowledge of sewing and RF sealing techniques to the design and manufacturing processes.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate into product designs.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales to ensure product designs/work packets meet customer needs and market demands.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation and reports.
Required:
- Proven experience in product design and process improvement within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Hands-on experience with sewing and RF sealing technologies is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
