Hourly Rate: $18.50 an hour

Conagra Brand Foods, home of Vlasic, located in Imlay City, Michigan, has opportunity for seasonal Produce Receiving Drivers. You will work as a forklift driver in a seasonal capacity. You will work full-time hours during the regular season beginning April through December. You will have the opportunity to advance as well as recall rights to return each season. During the heavier production demand period, normally May-October, you may be required for daily/weekend overtime as scheduled (Saturdays). You will report to Supervision and will work onsite.  In the role of Produce Receiving Driver, you will work onsite at Conagra's Imlay City, Michigan, facility. You will drive forklift the majority of the shift. You will work outdoors year-round. You will be provided with inclement and cold weather gear.

What will you do?

The Produce Receiving Driver will operate a forklift to receive product. You will ensure that all products received are recorded and stored. This is an outside position.

Essential Duties:

  • Verify trailer condition and numbers before unloading to comply with safety standards.

  • Evaluate and operate required machinery and equipment.

  • Perform minor routine maintenance following safety and quality cleaning standards.

  • Observe standard work instructions.

  • Work in a team environment assisting as needed to achieve department success.

  • Follow methods and processes where applicable.

  • Demonstrate willingness to take on additional job responsibilities.

  • Maintain Lock Out Tag Out and Forklift certification.

  • Understand and support our quality and environmental goals.

  • Identify foreign or defective materials or products and report findings to Team Lead.

  • Ensure correct quantities of product are distributed to the lines.

  • Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.

  • Inspect workstation(s) to ensure all equipment is in safe working condition.

  • Follow safe work practices and GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained following company policy.

  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Required:

  • Maintain an acceptable attendance record.

  • Six months forklift driving experience.

  • Basic math skills

  • Record measurements and work with measurement instruments.

  • Communicate with all levels of employees.
