Responsibilities
- The primary role would be to assist the MTA Procurement Policy and Procedure group.
- Management and assist in the Development and implementation of a framework for effective policy and procedure administration, to include Developing and promulgating new procurement policies and procedures as needed.
- Reviews, updates Sr. Staff on upcoming legislature proposed laws and regulations and the potential impact to MTA.
- Identify improvements in process, documentation control and presentations.
- Secondary role includes assisting the Supply Chain Strategy group in special projects, including but not limited to Cost/Price, Business development, Policy and Procedure, Board Agenda and Bid Solicitation
- A baccalaureate degree, preferably in Pre-Law or Public Policy or Business, from an accredited college and minimum of 4 years in relevant full-time experience,
- Preferred Law Degree
- Experience in legislative, contract law and statutory construction.
- Excellent oral, written, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
- Strong proficiency in business writing
- Experience updating and implementation of written policies and procedures.
- Experience in NYS Public Authority Law
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent documentation ability
- Excellent communication interpersonal skills
- Experience in Government Procurement practices.
- Mta Procurement Policy and Procedures
- Excel database review and edit.
- Organize documents to maintain version control.
- Produce Status/Progress Reports
Secondarily, the consultant may be asked to assist other departments under Supply Chain Strategy on special projects for Board Agenda, Cost/Price and Bid Solicitation.
Salary commensurate with scope of work job experience
Proper footwear required to perform tasks in a safe manner.
Perform other reasonably related duties as required.
