Position Overview

At Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), the Procurement Manager, Prehung is responsible for leading the Procurement team to ensure manufacturing operations are fully supported through accurate, timely, and cost-effective material procurement.

 

This role oversees workflow management, purchase order accuracy, supplier performance, and staff development to ensure materials are delivered at the right quality, quantity, time, place, and price. The Procurement Manager plays a critical role in maintaining supply chain efficiency, supporting production timelines, and optimizing procurement processes to meet internal and external customer demands.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
  • Lead, assign, and monitor daily tasks of the Procurement team, including Prehung Coordinators and Prehung Administrators
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to enhance team performance and professional growth
  • Ensure team adherence to procurement policies and procedures to maintain consistency and compliance
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
  • Develop cross-functional knowledge within the team to ensure coverage across all procurement functions
 
Procurement Operations & Material Flow
  • Oversee the accurate and timely creation, issuance, acknowledgment, and receipt of purchase orders
  • Track released jobs to ensure material availability aligns with manufacturing schedules
  • Review detailing of newly released sales orders to prevent supply or service delays
  • Verify supplier pricing accuracy prior to issuing purchase orders
  • Monitor on-hand inventory levels to ensure non-committed stock is utilized before placing additional orders
  • Identify supply timeline gaps and pro alert manufacturing of potential risks to delivery schedules
  • Collaborate with Inventory teams to address immediate material needs due to backorder or quality issues
  • Review inter-facility job transfers to ensure compliance with manufacturing requirements
 
Vendor & Supplier Management
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure timely delivery and compliance with quality standards
  • Partner with the Quality team to resolve supplier quality issues and mitigate backorder through timely replacement materials
  • Evaluate and identify alternative suppliers when necessary to maintain competitiveness and minimize risk
 
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with Product Management to ensure alignment across Supply Chain functions
  • Support coordination between Procurement, Manufacturing, Inventory, and Quality teams to ensure seamless operations
 
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline procurement operations and reduce lead times
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and service standards
  • Promote operational efficiencies to enhance overall supply chain performance
 
Additional Responsibilities & Miscellaneous
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support supply chain and corporate objectives
 
 
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or materials management
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing team members
  • Strong understanding of purchase order processes, supplier management, and inventory control
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Experience in manufacturing or building materials distribution preferred
  • Knowledge of Prehung door operations and supply chain processes
  • Experience with ERP or procurement management systems

Compensation
The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
  • Base: $95,000 - $130,000 per year
  • Bonus: 10% Target Bonus
  • Total Compensation (Base + Bonus): The successful candidate could reasonably expect a total compensation package in the range of $95,000 - $143,000
  • Equity: This role is not eligible for equity opportunities, awards, or grants
