Our award-winning client is seeking a Process Engineer to support operational excellence and capital improvement projects across their processing and storage operations.

Experience in bulk material processing, agriculture-based processing, biomass manufacturing, or food production operations is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives across plant operations.
  • Provide engineering support and troubleshooting for process, equipment, and operational issues.
  • Support equipment installation, system testing, and operational readiness for new equipment and capital projects.
  • Coordinate contractors and vendors to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Assist with equipment selection, project scope development, and contractor/vendor management.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new equipment and processes.
  • Perform root cause analysis to address reliability issues, downtime, and quality challenges.
  • Partner with R&D teams on process validation and development activities.
  • Maintain equipment reliability and performance tracking through Guidewheel software.
  • Support engineering work related to facility improvements and plant upgrades.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering required.
  • 2–10 years of Process Engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Experience with plant design, process optimization, equipment selection, PFDs and P&IDs, and system implementation.
  • Working knowledge of industrial electrical field devices (limit switches, flow sensors, solenoid valves, proximity switches).
  • Experience with gas flow systems and instrumentation, including valves and pressure transducers.
  • Demonstrated experience managing contractors, installation projects, and change orders.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience developing engineering standards, documentation, and best practices.
