Position Overview
Private Credit Analysts support investment teams by performing credit analysis, financial modeling, and portfolio monitoring for private credit and alternative lending funds.
The role blends quantitative analysis, risk assessment, and deal execution support in fast-paced private capital environments. Analysts collaborate closely with lenders, portfolio managers, and risk teams to evaluate investment opportunities and monitor credit portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct credit analysis on companies and projects, including financial statement review, cash flow modeling, and covenant assessment
Build and maintain financial models for private credit transactions, including direct lending, mezzanine, and structured debt deals
Support deal sourcing, underwriting, and execution processes
Assist with portfolio monitoring, including P&L, covenant compliance, and risk exposure tracking
Prepare investment memos, presentations, and reporting materials for senior management and investment committees
Monitor market trends, interest rates, and sector-specific credit developments to inform investment strategy
Develop and maintain analytical tools, dashboards, and reports for credit insights
Identify opportunities for portfolio optimization and process improvement
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
Understanding of credit analysis, lending, and financial statement modeling
Experience or coursework in private credit, corporate finance, or investment analysis (preferred but not required)
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Python, SQL, or financial modeling software is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments
Interest in private credit, alternative lending, and structured finance markets
