Job Summary

The Private Bank Business Manager role is responsible for serving to support strategic execution working with senior leadership within Private Banking & Wealth Management, supporting the execution of governance, sales and business performance management, business strategy, cost discipline, and people priorities. This role will play a critical part in driving operational excellence, ensuring financial stewardship, and advancing strategic initiatives that enable the Private Bank to deliver sustainable growth and superior client service.

The anticipated base pay rate range for this role will fall between $76,470 - $124,339, depending on individual qualifications, experience, and geographical location.

Job Responsibilities:

Governance & Risk Oversight

  • Support execution of the business governance and management framework
  • Support monitoring business line performance against designed governance framework and standards, prepare materials for committees, audits, and senior management reporting.
  • Oversee Private Bank third party relationship inventory, identify opportunities for consolidation / derisking
  • Ensure consistency in periodic review of third party relationships - Track, escalate, and remediate issues proactively

Strategy & Performance Execution

  • Partner with leadership to translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives, track progress, and escalate roadblocks.
  • Drive development of key performance metrics and provide insights to improve execution and accountability.

Sales & Business Performance

  • Track sales performance across revenue drivers (e.g. deposits, lending, wealth flows) against business targets
  • Partner with Sales leadership to analyze client coverage models, sales team productivity and client acquisition trends.
  • Coordinate incentive processes, sales campaigns, and business reviews to align performance with strategic goals.

Client Experience & Service

  • Monitor client satisfaction indicators (complaints, service levels) and provide insights to improve client outcomes.
  • Partner with operations and service leaders to reduce friction points and enhance client journey.
  • Support the Complaints Management process, including review; ownership definition; and timely responses.
  • Provide tracking and insights to identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance the Private Banking client experience.

Cost Management

  • Support the annual budgeting and ongoing expense management process.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to improve cost efficiency while ensuring resources align to business priorities.
  • Monitor financial performance, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Align spend to business value and outcomes
  • Monitor budgets verse actuals and address variances
  • Identify and execute cost optimization opportunities

People Plan

  • Partner with Human Resources to support workforce planning, including headcount management, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
  • Assist in tracking progress on diversity inclusion, and employee engagement priorities.
  • Coordinate communication, recognition, and training initiatives across the business.

Change Management & Transformation  

  • Tracks delivery of business-driven change initiatives, including product rollouts, platform migrations, and regulatory changes.
  • Ensure business readiness, communications, and adoption plans are executed effectively

Data & Insights

  • Review recurring dashboards and management information reports.
  • Translate data into actionable insights to inform leadership decisions and identify opportunities to optimize performance and strategy.

Uses independent judgement and discretion to make decisions.

Analyzes and resolves problems pertaining to scope of responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

  • Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent)  in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum experience required: 4+ Years
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing executive-level presentations and papers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education level preferred: Master's Degree (or Postgraduate equivalent)  MBA, CFA or related advanced degree / certification.
  • Prior experience in Private Banking, Wealth Management or Institutional Banking.
  • Familiarity with risk and control frameworks, as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting large-scale change or transformation initiatives.
