As a Principal Technical Support Engineer, you will be a go-to-expert, partnering with customers, internal teams, and Pega partners to design, deploy, and support complex Pega solutions across the full application cycle. This is not a traditional help-desk role; it's a senior, hands-on developer-to-developer support and advisory postiion where your expertise directly influences customer success.


What You'll Do at Pega:


+ Serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers resolve complex, high-impact challenges across Pega platforms

+ Apply deep technical expertise to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve sophisticated issues involving applicaiton architecture, integrations, and performance

+ Partner with Engineering, Product and Professional Services teams to drive solutions and improve platform quality

+ Lead technical discussions with customer teams at all levels, clearly articulating root cause, recommendations, and next steps


Who You Are:


+ Comfortable providing support and on-call coverage on a rotation

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Experience working directly with stakeholders and customers in high-pressure situations, with a focus on expectation management, and clear comunication

+ Able to quickly understand end-to-end customer environments, architectures, and models


What You've Accomplished:


+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

+ 5+ years in a technical role, involving Java/J2EE and database-driven enterprise applications

+ 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Java developer

+ 2+ years supporting or administering Java application servers (i.e., Tomcat)

+ Strong troubleshooting and debugging experience in complex production environments

+ Experience with relational databases (preferably, PostgreSQL)

+ Interest and exposure to AI-enabled technologies and solutions

Additional Information


Base salary range for this role is 100,800 - 153,500 USD annually. This role may also be eligible for annual bonus OR commission, as well as benefits and other incentives.


The final compensation will be determined during the offer process based on the candidate's education, experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as market conditions and may vary from the posted range. We will share an information on benefits, bonus/commission, and other pay components for this role at the relevant recruitment stage.
