We are seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer to lead our engineering teams and oversee the full software development lifecycle across all products. In this role, you will work closely with Product Management, cross-functional teams, Field Service Engineers, and Application Engineers to ensure high-quality, scalable software solutions that align with the company’s long-term strategy.
You will play a key role in scaling the engineering organization, driving innovation, and successfully delivering large-scale, mission-critical projects with company-wide impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage software engineering teams to ensure project goals, timelines, and quality standards are met
- Define and drive the long-term technical vision and software architecture for the organization
- Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of new software systems
- Collaborate with Product Management, Operations, and other stakeholders to align technical initiatives with business objectives
- Establish and enforce best practices for software development, scalability, reliability, and security
- Manage resource allocation, budgeting, and long-term engineering planning
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Provide technical leadership with organization-wide influence and decision-making authority
- Travel up to 5%, as required
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years in an engineering leadership or management role
- Proven experience managing large, distributed engineering teams
- Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies
- Experience with technology strategy, automated manufacturing equipment (including testers and handlers), and software architecture
- Demonstrated experience with budgeting, project planning, and resource management
Must-Have Skills
- Strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities
- Expertise in managing end-to-end software development projects
- Deep knowledge of modern software engineering practices, including CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
