Job Description

The Preventative Maintenance Technician will be a key player on our maintenance crew. In this role, you'll ensure our facility meets the highest standards of safety while keeping our equipment running smoothly through a robust preventative maintenance program.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Preventative Maintenance (PM)

  • Execute the PM Program: Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and building facilities to proactively prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime.
  • Respond to Breakdowns: Quickly and effectively repair equipment breakdowns as needed to support continuous production.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with the maintenance team to complete all required pre-shift/pre-start checklists and identify and correct problems that negatively impact production.
  • Inventory Management: Support the team in developing and maintaining an organized parts inventory to ensure necessary components are always on hand.
  • Equipment Insight: Advise and provide input on necessary equipment changes and improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A strong foundation in electrical systems, electronics, pneumatics, fluid power, and power transmission drives.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability for your department and duties.

Physical Requirements

  • This role requires physical dexterity and the ability to work in close quarters. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., and safely bend, squat, and maneuver into tight spaces to perform repairs and modifications.

Schedule

  • The standard schedule is Monday through Friday.
  • 9:00 pm to 6:00 am
  • Starting time must be flexible if 2nd shift production doesn't run.
  • Weekend and overtime work will be required for major projects and production needs.
