Key Responsibilities of the Prevailing Wage Payroll Specialist
- Prepare, review, and submit weekly Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs) for multiple states while ensuring compliance with all prevailing wage regulations as the Prevailing Wage Payroll Specialist
- Verify accuracy across Statement of Compliance, wage records, classifications, deductions, and fringe benefit documentation as the Prevailing Wage Payroll Specialist
- Confirm employees are paid accurately per wage determinations, job classifications, fringe requirements, and locality‑specific wage tables as the Prevailing Wage Payroll Specialist
- Audit payroll calculations, research discrepancies, and resolve missing or incorrect payroll items in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders as the Prevailing Wage Payroll Specialist
- Utilize CPR platforms such as LCPtracker, AASHTOWare, eMars, Skillsmart, DocExpress, Elations, and others while supporting additional payroll compliance tasks as the Prevailing Wage Payroll Specialist
Qualifications for the Prevailing Wage Payroll Specialist
- Hands‑on experience with Certified Payroll reporting, including Davis‑Bacon and state prevailing wage requirements
- Minimum 2 years of payroll experience with strong analytical and documentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to interpret wage determinations and communicate effectively with managers, subcontractors, and compliance agencies
