Prevailing Wage Compliance Analyst

Location: Centennial, CO (Hybrid after training)
Compensation: $95,000–$105,000

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Prevailing Wage Compliance Analyst to join a growing corporate compliance team supporting complex, large‑scale construction and government‑funded projects. This is a highly visible, high‑impact role responsible for ensuring end‑to‑end prevailing wage compliance across internal payroll operations and an expanding network of subcontractors.

This position extends well beyond traditional payroll processing. The role is heavily focused on post‑payroll prevailing wage compliance, manual calculations, detailed audits, and subcontractor oversight. The ideal candidate brings deep, hands‑on expertise and thrives in a fast‑paced, detail‑driven environment with minimal automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, audit, and validate subcontractor Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs) for accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Confirm wage classifications, fringe benefit calculations, and restitution requirements
  • Interpret and apply Davis‑Bacon Act and applicable state prevailing wage regulations
  • Review and assess supporting documentation, including:
    • Apprenticeship and trainee records
    • Fringe benefit statements
    • Wage determinations and classifications
  • Perform in‑depth, manual payroll analysis and data manipulation outside of standard payroll systems
  • Upload, manage, and maintain compliance documentation across multiple third‑party compliance platforms and portals
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for subcontractors by:
    • Identifying and resolving compliance discrepancies
    • Ensuring complete and accurate documentation
    • Educating and guiding subcontractors through prevailing wage requirements
    • Providing hands‑on support to subcontractors with limited compliance experience
  • Track open compliance items and maintain audit‑ready records
  • Support internal payroll teams with prevailing wage‑related processes and questions
  • Assist with Department of Labor (DOL) inquiries, audits, and third‑party compliance reviews

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of direct, hands‑on prevailing wage compliance experience (construction or government‑funded projects strongly preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Davis‑Bacon Act and related regulations
    • Wage determinations and job classifications
    • Fringe benefit calculations and restitution processes
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing and validating Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs)
  • Experience working with multiple certified payroll or compliance platforms (e.g., LCP Tracker, eMars, Points North, eComply, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manipulate raw payroll data
  • Ability to clearly communicate compliance requirements to external partners
  • Exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
