Job Details
The Preconstruction Manager will lead estimating and preconstruction efforts from early concept through GMP, supporting both negotiated and hard-bid work. This role partners closely with operations and business development to ensure accurate pricing, risk management, and smooth project handoff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle preconstruction and estimating efforts
- Develop conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates
- Manage subcontractor outreach, scope review, and leveling
- Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews
- Collaborate with operations during project transition
- Support client presentations and preconstruction meetings
Desired Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in preconstruction and/or estimating
- Background with a general contractor or construction manager
- Experience across commercial, industrial, healthcare, or institutional projects
- Strong understanding of conceptual estimating and GMP development
- Ability to lead, communicate, and build trust with internal teams and trade partners
