Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our Practice Innovation team. This position plays a key role in driving data strategy and delivering advanced analytic solutions for the firm’s largest and most sophisticated clients. The Data Analyst will lead the development and implementation of scalable analytics tools, customized dashboards, and strategic reporting. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Premium Services, IT, Marketing, and attorneys—to translate complex data into actionable insights that elevate client service delivery and operational performance. The ideal candidate has extensive technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and influence data-driven decision-making at a high level.

Essential Functions:
  • Lead the design and execution of advanced data analytics solutions for high-value client engagements and internal strategic initiatives.

  • Partner with attorneys and other departments to identify opportunities for automation, reporting, and predictive analytics using diverse data sources (SQL, APIs, text, Excel, Salesforce, etc.).

  • Develop dynamic dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI or similar tools to communicate insights to attorneys, clients, and leadership.

  • Apply advanced analytics techniques (e.g., machine learning, predictive modeling, clustering) to deliver prescriptive insights and forecasting capabilities.

  • Define and document project requirements, data processing pipelines, and analytic workflows.

  • Manage complex projects independently, including setting milestones, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery of high-impact results.

  • Collaborate with attorneys, analysts, IT professionals, and business teams to identify data needs and implement practical solutions.

  • Champion best practices in data governance, quality, and agile project management.

  • Utilize Jira and Agile/Scrum methodologies to scope, track, and report on project progress and deliverables.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics standards, tooling, and processes across the firm. 

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, data science preferred or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of experience delivering enterprise-level analytics solutions  

  • Intermediate-to-advanced SQL skills and experience working with large-scale relational databases.

  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and deploying dashboards and visual analytics in Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent BI platforms.

  • Experience designing and implementing predictive and prescriptive analytics, including regression, clustering, classification, and forecasting models.

  • Proficient in Python, including using libraries such as pandas, numpy, NLTK, and scikit-learn for data manipulation and analysis.

  • Experience with R is a plus.

  • Experience in a legal or professional services environment, especially employment litigation, is strongly preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum frameworks and tools like Jira for project management.

  • Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including firm leadership and clients.

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, solve problems independently, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with a passion for mentorship and team development.

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $81,200 - $121,800. In accordance with New York State’s Wage Transparency Law, the expected salary range for this New York State position is between $74,080 - $134,520. In accordance with California’s amended labor code as stated in Senate Bill 1162, the expected salary range for this California position is between $76,480 - $134,520. In accordance with the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunities act, the expected salary range for this Washington position is between $85,280 - $127,920. In accordance with the Wage Transparency Omnibus Amendment Act, the expected salary range for this DC position is between $85,280 - $127,920 . In accordance with Maryland’s Equal Pay for Equal Work-Wage Range Transparency Law, the expected salary range for this Baltimore position is between $76,480 - $114,720.  In accordance with Illinois Equal Pay Act Transparency Notice, the expected salary range for this Illinois position is between $85,280 - $127,920 . In accordance with Massachusetts Frances Perkins Workplace Equity Act, the expected salary range for this Massachusetts position is between $89,680 - $134,520.   In accordance with Minnesota Pay Transparency Law, the expected salary range for this Minnesota position is between $76,480 - $114,720. In accordance with New Jersey Senate Bill 2310, the expected salary range for this New Jersey position is between $89,680 - $134,520 . Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
