Powder Coater Technician

We are starting an automatic powder coating line. We are looking for experienced powder coaters to help us in this exciting endeavor.

Duties:

• Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
• Operate airless paint spraying equipment to apply powder coating to metal surfaces
• Ensure proper coverage and thickness of powder
• Monitor and adjust equipment settings to achieve desired results
• Inspect finished products for quality and make any necessary touch-ups or rework
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with other duties as assigned

Experience:

• Previous experience in powder coating or related field preferred
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus
• Familiarity with welding, machining, and materials handling is beneficial
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently
• Mechanical knowledge and proficiency with power tools
• Experience with assembly and disassembly of parts and components
• Familiarity with operating a crane is a plus

• Ability to interpret work orders and follow instructions accurately
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality control
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
