LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The postdoctoral fellow will design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments with the highest standards of rigor and reproducibility. Lead independent research projects from initial concept through to publication. Analyze and interpret complex datasets, including in vitro, in vivo, and -omics data. Present research findings at internal meetings as well as national and international conferences. Contribute to grant proposals and assist with manuscript preparation for peer-reviewed publications.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Individuals with a PhD degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics, genome science or a related field are encouraged to apply. A strong computational background, proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., R, Python, Perl, C++, Java) and knowledge of biostatistics are required.
Experience working in high-performance computing cluster environment, experience working with single cell RNA/ATAC, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, Hi C, or other large-scale genomics data analysis is highly preferred. A good understanding of cancer biology, cell signaling pathways, or drug response mechanisms is also preferred.
POSITION INFORMATION
MD Anderson offers full-time postdoc positions with a salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000. depending on the number of years of postgraduate experience.
