About Initio Sphere

Initio Sphere is a full-service private capital ecosystem where capital meets talent. We support fund managers, investors, operators, and finance professionals across private markets by integrating deal flow, portfolio analytics, analyst talent, investor relations, training, and placement into a single platform.

Our mission is to create real opportunity, verified credibility, and immediate earning potential for serious private capital professionals. Once verified, analysts gain immediate access to live portfolio and transaction work across our network—no waiting period, no speculative placements.

Role Overview

Initio Sphere is seeking qualified finance professionals to join as Certified Portfolio & Deal Analysts.

This is not a traditional employment role. Analysts operate as independent contractors and are activated through our certification, verification, and approval framework.

Once approved, Portfolio & Deal Analysts:

  • Are promoted within the Initio Sphere platform

  • Gain access to live deal flow and portfolio-level analytical work

  • Support investors, fund managers, and operators across individual transactions and portfolio monitoring

  • Contribute to investment analysis, execution support, and post-close performance tracking

  • Build a verified deal and portfolio track record and Analyst Rating Score

Certification tiers:
Senior Portfolio & Deal Analyst · Lead Portfolio & Deal Analyst · Portfolio & Deal Analyst / Associate

Analyst Levels & Pay Ranges

Former investment banking, private equity, venture capital, private credit, real estate, or senior consulting professionals with 5+ years of transaction and portfolio management experience.

Lead Portfolio & Deal Analyst

Portfolio & Deal Analyst / Associate

Rating Score: 60–79

What You’ll Do (Approval-Based)

Depending on certification approvals, Portfolio & Deal Analysts may be engaged for:

Deal Analysis & Valuation

  • 3-statement financial modeling

  • DCF, LBO, and transaction return modeling

  • Commercial real estate underwriting (where applicable)

  • Sensitivity and scenario analysis

  • Comparable company and precedent transaction analysis

  • Football field valuation summaries

Portfolio Analytics & Performance Monitoring

  • Portfolio-level return and exposure analysis

  • Asset performance tracking and variance analysis

  • Hold / sell / recapitalization scenario modeling

  • Concentration, risk, and downside analysis

  • LP and internal performance reporting support

Due Diligence & Transaction Support

  • Quality of Earnings (QoE) analysis

  • Commercial, financial, and operational diligence

  • Risk assessment and investment downside analysis

  • Investment memo and IC presentation support

  • Data room review and transaction analytics

Analysts may only perform work in categories they are approved for. Approvals are earned through assessment results and demonstrated performance—not tenure.

How Analysts Start Earning

  1. Complete the Portfolio & Deal Analyst Certification Assessment or approved training

  2. Receive category-specific approvals (Modeling, Valuation, Due Diligence, Portfolio Analytics)

  3. Get verified on the platform

  4. Begin earning immediately through hourly engagements and live deal and portfolio work

No cold applying. No unpaid “experience.” Verified analysts are actively promoted to investors, fund managers, and deal sponsors.

Certification & Eligibility

To qualify, you must meet at least one of the following:

  • Score 70% in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment

  • Complete Initio Sphere Financial or Portfolio Analytics Training

  • Hold an active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)

Analyst Rating Score

Each Portfolio & Deal Analyst receives a 0–100 Analyst Rating Score, which determines:

  • Visibility across the Initio Sphere platform

  • Approved work categories

  • Recommended hourly rates

  • Eligibility for higher-value, portfolio-level engagements

Compensation & Deal Terms

  • Analysts are independent contractors, not employees

  • Hourly rates depend on Rating Score and approval level

  • Analysts may earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees

  • Maximum deal-based earning: $2,500 per transaction

  • Payments issued only after successful deal completion and fee collection

  • Initio Sphere reserves the right to revoke approvals for quality, performance, or compliance issues

Compliance Notice

Portfolio & Deal Analysts do not:

  • Provide investment advice

  • Solicit securities

  • Represent Initio Sphere in a regulated or broker-dealer capacity

All work is strictly limited to analytical, diligence, and financial support functions and must comply with applicable securities laws.

Why Join Initio Sphere
