Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Portfolio Data Management & Reporting

  • Collect, clean, and standardize financial and operational data across portfolio companies

  • Build and maintain recurring portfolio reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual)

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and auditability across systems

KPI Tracking & Dashboard Development

  • Design and maintain KPI dashboards tailored to portfolio companies and sectors

  • Track performance versus budget, underwriting cases, and historical trends

  • Monitor leading indicators related to growth, margin, liquidity, and risk

Analytics & Decision Support

  • Analyze portfolio data to identify trends, outliers, and performance drivers

  • Support investment and operating teams with ad hoc analyses and insights

  • Translate complex datasets into clear, decision-ready outputs

Portfolio Operations & Value Creation Support

  • Support portfolio initiatives related to pricing, cost structure, customer metrics, and operational efficiency

  • Assist with benchmarking portfolio companies against peers and industry data

  • Contribute analytical support for add-on acquisitions, refinancing, and exit readiness

Systems, Tools & Process Improvement

  • Help improve internal data workflows, reporting templates, and analytics tools

  • Support integration of new portfolio companies into reporting systems

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve data governance and automation

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education & Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field

  • Strong Excel skills; experience with SQL, BI tools, or data visualization platforms is a plus

  • Solid understanding of financial statements and KPI-based performance analysis

  • Familiarity with private equity or portfolio reporting structures preferred

Experience (Formal or Informal)

  • Prior internships or experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, FP&A, analytics, or operations preferred

  • Demonstrated interest in data-driven decision-making in finance or investing
