Policy Administration Specialist - Life & Health Insurance

Must be able to work on-site in our Lake Mary, Florida office. This is not a remote position.
- Manage and support policy administration activities including new business, policy changes, reinstatements, billing, and other policy servicing functions.
- Work closely with the company’s software development/programming team to review system enhancements, identify operational needs, and ensure accurate implementation of business requirements.
- Participate in system testing (UAT) for new features, updates, and regulatory changes within the policy administration platform.
- Document business requirements, operational workflows, and system functionality to support development and future improvements.
- Assist in identifying process improvements and system efficiencies within policy administration operations.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve operational or system-related issues affecting policy processing.
- Support implementation of new insurance products, forms, and system features.
- Communicate effectively between business users and technical teams to ensure successful system enhancements.
- Participate in special projects and system initiatives with opportunities to grow into project coordination and project management roles.
- 3+ years of experience in life and health insurance policy administration or insurance operations.
- Experience working with insurance policy administration systems.
- Experience collaborating with software development teams or IT departments on system enhancements or testing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex policy data accurately.
- Ability to translate business needs into clear operational or system requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Progress toward or completion of FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute) or other industry designations.
- Experience participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system releases or enhancements.
- Exposure to insurance system implementations or operational projects.
- Interest in developing project management and operational leadership skills.
- Project management for system initiatives.
