RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE PLATFORM ARCHITECT

  • Define end-to-end architecture for cloud-hosted applications across AWS and Azure, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency
  • Design reference architectures and standards for microservices, serverless, data platforms, and integration workloads
  • Lead selection and adoption of core platform services including compute, storage, networking, observability, and CI/CD tooling
  • Architect shared platform capabilities such as landing zones, internal developer platforms, and golden paths
  • Partner with security teams to embed security-by-design principles including identity management, encryption, and compliance controls
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams while evangelizing cloud-native best practices

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE FOR THE PLATFORM ARCHITECT

  • 8+ years in software engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps with 3-5+ years in cloud architecture roles
  • Deep hands-on expertise with AWS or Azure, including advanced knowledge of core services
  • Strong background designing cloud-native applications using microservices, containers, and serverless architectures
  • Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Solid understanding of data platforms, API design, event-driven architectures, and integration patterns
  • Professional cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) strongly preferred
