Plant Reliability Technician – Automation & Utilities

When a VFD trips, a PLC input goes dark, or a pneumatic cylinder loses pressure—do you lean in? At our Amherst, OH facility, we need a hands-on problem solver who relishes tough diagnostics, precise repairs, and teamwork under pressure.

Your mission

• Own uptime: perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Diagnose issues using prints, meters, and PLC logic to drive root-cause fixes
• Complete safety and functionality inspections with meticulous documentation
• Respond rapidly to breakdowns; communicate status and actions clearly
• Collaborate to streamline processes and elevate equipment reliability
• Follow all safety standards; other duties as assigned

What it takes

• Minimum six (6) months of mechanical work experience shown in your application—or completion of a maintenance/HVAC training program (experience can be combined across employers)
• Rehire policy: eligible after 180 days with fewer than 3 prior terms at this facility
• 18+ years old with valid identification
• Comfortable using basic hand tools
• Working knowledge of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics, and plumbing
• Ability to read/understand assignments
• Physically capable: lift 50 lbs; climb stairs up to 120 feet and ladders up to 60 feet; stand for long periods; tolerate hot, cold, and inclement conditions
