PLANT MANAGER

Direct accountabilities of this position include all plant functions and the strategic and tactical ownership of the plant strategy ensuring the attainment of the Vision and Compelling Business Need and continuous improvement of the operational elements: Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Environment and associated Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

Responsibilities:

  • You will direct plant operations to meet finite production schedule and overall pack plan, in collaboration with corporate Supply Chain team.
  • You will provide overall leadership, guidance and direction with respect to People Management, Operational Management and Supply Chain planning within the Plant process.
  • You lead the development and the achievement of the Plant Objectives/KPI’s across the Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Environmental operational framework.
  • You will provide leadership and plant functional alignment to plant Safety, Quality and Environment programs through the continuous pursuit of Best In Class, high-performing team performance.
  • You will deliver ever-improving value to customers and stakeholders, contribute to organizational sustainability, and improve overall organizational effectiveness and capabilities, while developing and maintaining partnership relations with key internal/external stakeholders, including suppliers, government regulatory agencies and the community.
  • Identify annual and long range capital requirements necessary to drive improvements and maintain plant infrastructure. Develop, review and meet all plans and budgets relating to Plant operations.


Requirements:

  • You have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Technology, or Operations Management.
  • You have a minimum 10 years of experience in the food industry and preferably the frozen food processing environment. Background in “dough processing” will be considered a definite asset
  • A minimum of 10 years in supervisory and Plant Management positions
  • Ability to meet/exceed Leadership Expectations for this position reflecting an ethical and values-based approach to leadership.
  • You have a proven record of successfully leading and inspiring people.
  • You have the soft skills to maintain a positive work environment.
  • You embrace open communication with the staff and managers.
  • You have the ability to promote and maintain positive labor relations
  • You have demonstrate cross-functional/organizational agility and an acute sense of partnership with the Stakeholders.
  • You have the ability to create and embrace change.
  • You have demonstrated examples of performance excellence in accomplishing results under time and business pressures.
  • You have the knowledge of and ability to manage a manufacturing site within recognized industry standards.
  • You have Project Management experience.
  • You have SAP or similar MRP Experience and advanced knowledge in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
