Is hiring for Plant Health Care Arborist for Southern California South Orange County & North San Diego area. Willing to travel.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide professional Plant Health Care (PHC) arborist services for clients with the best management of tree resources. Prepare tree appraisals and tree rise assessments as part of Certified Arborist Reports. Consult on and write Urban Forest Management Plans, Community Forest Assessments, and Street Tree Planting Plans. Provide general assistance PHC Manager.

WORK HOURS

7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

SALARY RANGE

Starting salary is $72,800.00 up to $127,688.00, annually, D.O.E.

QUALIFICATIONS

High level of organization skills and computer literacy, along with basic clerical aptitude. ISA Certified Arborist and Tree Risk Assessment Qualification with extensive knowledge of arboriculture and tree appraisal, including California tree species and pest identification. College degree in arboriculture or related horticultural field experience.

REGULAR JOB DUTIES

• Prepare concise arborist reports and tree risk assessments as requested and discuss conditions observed with Area Manager and Regional Manager

• For reports large in scale, collect samples of soil/root/tissue and deliver to the specified laboratory

• Prepare tree appraisals pursuant to the current ISA edition of the Guide for Plant Appraisal.

• Conduct various forms of consulting arborist services including construction monitoring, root pruning oversight as directed by WCA pr City personnel.

• Attend meetings with Cities as requested.

• Assist Data Controller with preparation of all inventory delivery books, provide statistical analysis overviews, frequency reports, and collect data in the field.

• Prepare Urban Forest Master Plan.

• Perform data collection for new tree inventory or inventory updates

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES RECOMMENDED

• Valid Driver’s License

• ISA Certified Treeworker/ISA Utility/Municipal Specialties
