Job Title: Plant Controller
Location:Allegheny County, PA(100% Onsite)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
About the Company:
An established manufacturer within the industrial sector is seeking a hands-on Plant Controller to oversee financial operations at its Western Pennsylvania site. This organization blends local production with global backing and innovation. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a plant-based environment and brings a strong command of both traditional accounting and modern financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee full-cycle accounting, including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, general ledger, and balance sheet preparation
- Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare reports detailing variances between standard and actual production costs
- Lead budget creation and financial forecasting in collaboration with operations and executive teams
- Perform detailed income statement and balance sheet analysis
- Maintain robust internal controls, particularly around inventory; oversee monthly cycle counts and periodic physical inventories
- Serve as finance liaison to plant leadership, providing insights to support operational and strategic decisions
- Prepare audit-ready documentation and assist with external audits
- Interpret financial data to advise on business improvements and process optimization
- Support and lead projects focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and financial clarity
- Present financial information to senior stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and relevant standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- MBA or CPA highly preferred
- 5–10+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and cost accounting
- Audit experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in budget preparation, financial analysis, and performance reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and business acumen
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with plant operations
- Self-starter with a proactive, hands-on approach
