Location: Rockwood, TN 37854
Salary: $125,000 – $140,000 + Full Benefits

A rapidly growing manufacturing organization in Rockwood, TN is seeking a Plant Controller to join their finance leadership team. This is a high-impact role where you’ll partner directly with the CFO and plant leadership to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the financial leader for the manufacturing facility, partnering with plant leadership to support operational and strategic decisions.

• Oversee cost accounting, production analysis, and manufacturing financial reporting to ensure accurate cost visibility and profitability.

• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy of inventory valuations, production costs, and financial statements.

• Analyze standard vs. actual cost variances and identify trends and opportunities for cost reduction.

• Maintain strong internal controls and safeguard company assets including inventory, capital, and cash.

• Oversee inventory control processes, including cycle counting programs and inventory accuracy initiatives.

• Partner with corporate finance on annual budgets and forecasts, with focus on COGS and inventory levels.

• Act as the ERP subject matter expert for the facility and help optimize reporting processes.

• Lead inventory and cost-related audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and GAAP.

• Communicate financial results and key performance metrics to plant leadership and employees.

What We’re Looking For

• 7–10+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and manufacturing financial operations

• Experience leading month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting

• Ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiency

• Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel

• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CMA a plus)

Preferred Experience

• Experience with EPM systems such as Anaplan, Planful, or Prophix

• Experience in Lean or Six Sigma manufacturing environments

• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
