The Opportunity

A global Tier 1 automotive supplier is looking for a Plant Controller to serve as the financial backbone of their Fremont, OH facility. This position is open because the previous Controller was promoted to Finance Manager — a direct signal of the growth this company invests in. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you'll be a strategic business partner with full ownership of the plant's financial operations.

Your Day-to-Day

• Lead all financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for the facility
• Manage cost and general accounting, product costing, capacity planning, and time studies
• Analyze operating costs and variances, delivering timely financial status reviews to plant leadership
• Oversee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets
• Develop and maintain forecasting and budgeting models
• Prepare special studies, regulatory reports, and fiscal year-end audit binders
• Work directly with external auditors and maintain all audit documentation
• Participate as a member of the plant management team, contributing to TQM and Best Methods initiatives
• Supervise and develop the accounting department staff

What We're Looking For

• 5+  years of relevant industrial finance experience
• Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle plant accounting functions, including cost accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings clearly to management and cross-functional teams
• Experience working with external auditors and preparing regulatory and compliance reporting
• Comfortable leading a team and functioning as a trusted advisor to plant leadership
