Plant Controller

This role requires current or recent experience in a manufacturing plant environment.

What You’ll Own

• Full financial leadership of a manufacturing facility

• Standard costing, product costing, and BOM analysis

• Labor & overhead absorption analysis

• Inventory control, cycle counts, and physical inventory oversight

• Manufacturing variance analysis (labor, material, overhead, scrap)

• Capacity planning and operational financial modeling

• Month-end close in a plant environment

• Budgeting and rolling forecasts tied to production volumes

• Audit preparation and SOX/internal control compliance

• Leadership of on-site accounting team (Sr. Accountant + Accounting Clerk)

• Active participation on the Plant Leadership Team

Required Experience (Non-Negotiable)

• 5+ years in a manufacturing finance or plant controller role

• Deep experience with standard cost accounting in a production environment

• Proven background supporting plant operations (production, engineering, supply chain)

• Experience in automotive manufacturing strongly preferred

• ERP experience within a manufacturing setting

• Prior supervisory experience

Ideal Background

• Automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier experience

• High-volume, multi-SKU production environment

• Experience with capacity modeling and operational KPI analysis

• CPA or advanced degree preferred

This is a hands-on, floor-connected finance leadership role. We are seeking a Controller who understands manufacturing cost drivers, inventory movement, absorption, and operational KPIs — not just financial reporting.
