Job Description/Responsibilities:

We’re looking for a strategic and results-driven Planning Manager to lead production planning, scheduling, and customer service operations in our manufacturing environment. This role ensures production schedules, inventory strategies, and supply chain activities align with customer demand while optimizing efficiency and controlling costs. 

This leader partners closely with operations, procurement, materials, and commercial teams to maintain accurate system data, ensure material availability, and drive continuous improvement across the planning function.

Key highlights of the role:

  • Lead production planning and scheduling to meet customer demand, service targets, and inventory goals.
  • Develop and maintain master production schedules while balancing plant capacity, workforce resources, and material availability.
  • Partner with procurement, materials, and operations teams to ensure raw materials and packaging components are available for production.
  • Manage ERP planning systems and ensure data integrity for BOMs, routings, inventory levels, and production transactions.
  • Analyze production and inventory data to identify bottlenecks, improve efficiency, and support cost reduction initiatives.
  • Lead and develop planning and customer service teams while fostering cross-functional collaboration across departments.
  • Drive planning strategies that balance customer demand, production capacity, and inventory levels while supporting company growth
Qualifications/Requirements:

Requirements (Must-Have)

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in production planning, supply chain planning, or manufacturing operations.
  • Minimum 3+ years in a leadership capacity
  • Strong experience with manufacturing systems such as ERP, MRP, MPS, or WMS (NetSuite experience strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead planning functions in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and leadership levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make strategic decisions in a fast-paced production environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

  • Experience in alcohol beverage, food manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries.
  • APICS certification, Six Sigma certification, or similar supply chain certification.
  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations including FDA and U.S. Customs requirements.
  • Experience supporting co-manufacturing operations or multi-site production planning.
