Planner/Buyer

Responsible for effective quoting, planning and procurement of raw material, MRO, tooling, and services for an electronics contract manufacturer. Responsible for planning and procuring inventory items for assigned commodities, includes working with management to establish the appropriate safety stock levels to support the Business Plan. Responsible for obtaining bids and placing orders for supplies, materials, services, and equipment as required on Purchase Requisition forms. Responsible for ensuring purchase orders are placed and that deliveries are scheduled and maintained to meet production requirements. Review MRP requirements on a regular basis for assigned parts and react accordingly to maintain inventory levels based on established guidelines and in a cost-efficient manner. Participate in supplier selection, qualification, and evaluation for new and current suppliers. Obtain pricing and lead times on Requests for Quotations. Process defective material and Debit memos. Work to obtain cost reduction goals as dictated by management. Comply with all ISO-9001 Quality Standards
