Job Details
Responsibilities
- Manage personal injury case files from intake through settlement or trial
- Conduct client intakes and maintain regular communication with clients
- Request, review, and organize medical records, bills, wage loss documentation, and insurance information
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
- File documents with courts and administrative agencies (e-filing and paper filing as required)
- Track statutes of limitation, court deadlines, and calendaring requirements
- Assist with settlement demands and trial preparation, including exhibits and witness lists
- Communicate with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel
- Maintain accurate case management and billing records
Qualifications
- Paralegal certificate or associate’s/bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or a related field
- Experience in personal injury law (plaintiff-side preferred)
- Strong understanding of personal injury litigation procedures and terminology
- Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with e-filing systems and local court rules
- Preferred experience with medical record review and summarization
