Previous experience as a pizza cook, line cook, or prep cook (wood-fired or New York style experience is a plus).
Ability to stretch and hand-toss pizza dough consistently.
Familiarity with operating high-temperature ovens (wood-fired, gas, or deck ovens).
Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to manage multiple pizzas and dishes simultaneously during busy periods.
Basic knife skills and food prep abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Comfortable working near high heat for extended periods.
Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs throughout the shift.
Strong time-management and multitasking abilities.
Positive attitude and ability to work well with a kitchen team.
Strong attention to detail to ensure consistent product quality.
Willingness to follow established procedures.
Prepare dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients as needed.
Cook pizzas to exact standards and maintain product consistency.
Keep the workstation clean, stocked, and organized.
Follow all food safety guidelines and maintain sanitary conditions.
Assist with prep work, cleaning, and other back-of-house tasks.
Expediter (Expo) Job Requirements
Previous experience as an expediter.
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food flow.
Ability to read, prioritize, and organize tickets quickly and accurately.
Clear understanding of menu items, modifications, allergens, and standards.
Excellent communication skills for coordinating between kitchen staff and servers.
Ability to maintain calm and control during high-volume shifts.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality of every order.
Manage the pass and organize all outgoing food orders.
Double-check each dish for accuracy, portion, presentation, and modifications.
Communicate effectively with cooks to ensure timely food preparation.
Coordinate runners and ensure food goes to the correct tables promptly.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and restocking of the expo station.
Ensure that orders leave the kitchen complete, hot, and correct.
Highly organized and able to multitask.
Calm under pressure and solution-focused.
Strong sense of urgency and quality control.
Team-oriented and able to work closely with both FOH and BOH staff.
