Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Piping Designer for a hybrid position to work on projects integral to our clients' businesses. This role offers the opportunity to work on state-of-the-art industrial and pharmaceutical facilities. You will be responsible for the schedule and technical quality of assigned routine engineering tasks, gaining familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget, and progress measurement. You will lead projects with multi-office execution, recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly, and review vendor drawings. Additionally, you will execute piping engineering design and develop design estimates. Your technical expertise will also be utilized to mentor other professionals and guide your team forward.
Responsibilities
- Manage schedule and ensure the technical quality of engineering tasks.
- Lead projects with multi-office execution and adhere to schedules.
- Review vendor drawings and execute piping engineering design.
- Develop design estimates and communicate scope and design changes.
- Mentor other professionals and nurture their development.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (AA) in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or similar technical degree.
- At least 15 years of piping design experience.
- Advanced working knowledge of 2D/3D modeling software such as Hexagon Smartplant S3D and Autodesk Plant 3D.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Forward-thinking and eager to learn best practices.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
Location
This position is based in Cincinnati, OH, a vibrant city known for its rich history, diverse culture, and thriving business community. While it is ideal for candidates to be local to the Cincinnati office, we are open to candidates from anywhere in the U.S.
