Pipe Support Engineer

Major Responsibilities:
Lead or administer work of PD&P designers and drafters, including preparation of layouts, study drawings, detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, and construction drawings
Develop designs for complete and complex 3D model equipment layouts and pipe designs with minimal supervision
Prepare or assist with material requisitions and bid evaluations
Monitor and check work for compliance with approved PD&P design standards
Participate in constructability reviews
Prepare design and drafting procedures to standardize design effort
Coordinate or make jobsite visits as required to resolve issues and interpret drawings
Review PD&P design scope changes for project management
Prepare progress reports as required
Ensure PD&P system designs comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and standards
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5–8 years of relevant experience or 9–12 years of relevant work experience
ORBachelor’s degree in engineering with 8–10 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, physical (if onsite), and background check
Ability to obtain a Department of Energy badge for site access
Experience working on complex engineering problems requiring judgment and analysis
Demonstrates sound decision-making and problem-solving skills
Ability to collaborate and communicate with senior internal and external stakeholders
