Pipe Fitter Journeyman

Location: Jacksonville, Florida / ON-SITE

Duration: Contract-to-hire

Shift(s): (Shift 1) 6am-4pm / (Shift 2) 3:30pm-1am

Pay: $35/hr W2

Eligible for Overtime: Yes

Per diem: $110/day (on days worked - travelers outside 75 miles from project site)

Overview:

Join our dynamic team as a Pipe Fitter Journeyman, your expertise will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality piping systems that are essential to our projects. In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of piping systems across various infrastructures. Your skills and dedication will ensure that our operations run smoothly, contributing to our commitment to safety and excellence. Required Skills:

•Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter Journeyman with a strong understanding of piping systems and controls
•Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
•Expertise in a variety of materials and methods used in pipefitting
•Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems
•Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in the construction and maintenance of piping systems
•Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively

Nice to Have Skills:

•Experience with specialized piping systems (e.g., industrial, commercial, or service piping)
•Familiarity with welding techniques or certifications
•Certification in safety management or hazardous materials
•OSHA-10 certification

Preferred Education and Experience:

•High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a relevant technical training program preferred
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in pipefitting or a related field
•Journeyman license or certification in pipe fitting

Other Requirements:

•Willingness to travel for job assignments as needed
•Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
•Ability to pass a background check and any required assessments

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Contractors must arrive with their own PPE, which includes:

•Hardhat
•Safety Glasses
•Gloves
•Steel-Toed Boots
•Safety Vest or High-Visibility Shirt
