Description
The Fox Chase–Temple Urologic Institute is seeking a Physician Assistant to join its outpatient ambulatory urology practice with a focus on reconstructive urology and prosthetic urology. This position is dedicated to the care of patients with complex benign urologic conditions, male reconstruction, and prosthetic surgery, and will play a central role in a high-volume, subspecialty urology practice.
Locations: Rotation between: 515 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Washington, PA 19034 and 8 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | No call | No weekends
Setting: Outpatient clinic
About the Fox Chase–Temple Urologic Institute
The Fox Chase–Temple Urologic Institute is a nationally recognized, world-class program in urology within Temple Health and Fox Chase Cancer Center. Our Department of Urology serves as a regional and national referral center for complex urologic disease, including male reconstruction, prosthetic urology, urethral stricture disease, incontinence, sexual medicine, and complications of prior urologic surgery and cancer treatment.
The Institute integrates high-volume clinical care, subspecialty expertise, multidisciplinary collaboration, and a robust research and education enterprise. Our physicians are leaders in open, robotic, and complex reconstructive surgery, as well as prosthetic urology and male incontinence surgery.
Our Advanced Practice Providers are core members of the clinical team. Many of our PAs build long-term careers within the Institute. We provide structured onboarding, longitudinal mentorship, and meaningful opportunities for professional growth, leadership, and involvement in care pathway development and quality initiatives.
Position Overview
This Physician Assistant position supports a high-volume outpatient reconstructive and prosthetic urology practice.
Responsibilities include:
- Comprehensive outpatient evaluation and management of patients with complex benign urologic conditions
- Longitudinal care of patients with urethral stricture disease, male incontinence, erectile dysfunction, and prosthetic surgery needs
- Pre- and post-operative management of reconstructive and prosthetic surgery patients
- Development and implementation of care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Ordering and interpretation of diagnostic studies
- Patient counseling regarding diagnosis, treatment options, expectations, and follow-up care
- Coordination of care across sites and with ancillary services
- Participation in clinical pathway development, quality improvement, and standardization initiatives
- Support of office-based procedures and peri-procedural care as appropriate
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program (required)
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant preferred; prior urology, reconstructive, sexual medicine, or surgical subspecialty experience strongly preferred
- Licensure/Certification:
- Pennsylvania Physician Assistant License (required)
- NCCPA Certification (required)
